Tinfoil Divider

I just got 2 crayfish in the mail from NY and they're fighting. Would it be ok if I made a divider out of tinfoil? I cant go and buy a divider I dont have enough money for it right now and Im afraid Brutus is going to kill Raimundo.

Invertibrates are highly sensitive to disolved metal salts in the water and aluminium is a fairly reactive metal.

Using foil as a divider may result in the poisoning of your crays.

Plastic canvas, which is sold in craft/hobby stores, makes a great cheap divider

Perhaps a piece of plexiglass (sold at hardware stores and at craft stores)? I have pieces that I bought from Home Depot that I've been thinking about using in my tank. I paid around $2 for it.
