time to get a betta!

I was going to get a betta today, but I have two problems.
1. Im going to get a passive one but will he get along with my platies?
2. My Ph is 8, is that too high?
3. Will I ever be able to stop buying them?

Yeah he'll get along with your platys. I don't think a pH level of 8 would be too high, but I'm not sure. Anyone else know?? I doubt that you will be able to ever stop buying them! LOL! I know I can't! I them!

If I had my way id buy billions of them and get a house built for them! (Note: I havent even got the betta yet!)

Right ok then! Yeah it would be great having a betta-house! So are you going to get the betta today though? And just out of interest, how many platys do you have?

I have 3 platies, one male (calico) and two females (red wagtail and calico).
And 8 red wagtail fry (very big now).
It all depends on whether I go out today or not.... Oh wait! I have to go out today, I have to see my aunts baby and visit my cousin. My dad is quite keen on getting a betta aswell!
