Searching Lake Ontario for tropical fish...No luck
I posted this here hoping it might get more exposure than what it might get in the New World Cichlids room.

So im going to get an Oscar for my 90g. I saw they had 1 Tiger, 1 Red and 1 Albino. Im guessing they are all the same despite colours. They all grow about a foot I believe.

Do any of you know about any differences between the Tiger and the Red? :dunno:

isn't that the whole point of having different section? so the people that specialise in a certain area know where to go to help people?

It's like posting a bug in the forum here, becuase more people look here

Reds are usually brown or dull red, tiger looks like a red with tiger stripes, albino is white, and also tiger albinos, and my favorite the blueberry oscar which is blue.

Yea I know my buddy used to have one it was pretty sweet.

I used to have a pair of Red Oscars. They were only 3-4" big but cool fish. I had to give them away as they would eventually get too big for my tank.

The reds are....well red? Tigers are the more traditional red and black blotches. I prefer the reds

we keep both red and tiger oscars, we find that if any decide to cause trouble, its usually the reds !!!! our oscars are all rescued as people fall for there charms when they are tiny not considering the fact they will grow to a foot or more :hey: and need loads of room and high quality filtration.
