I put a tiger lotus bulb (Nymphaea zenkeri) in my tank over a week ago following the instructions i.e. push the bulb I'm but don't bury it, but have had no growth yet. How long does it take before I can expect to see any growth? I did also put a root tab in as well just to give it an extra boost.

Mine arrived with some sprouting so it didn't take long to get going...but over time the leaves died away (I neglected it unfortunately) and now the bulb just lays dormant 😐 I wonder if I should take it out for a few weeks and let it dry out? 🤔

Seems I will have to practice some patience! Hopefully won't take too long, am excited to see what it looks like in the tank when it eventually gets going!

I just bought it so I'm hoping they didn't sell me a dormant one but then I don't know if you can even tell if it's gone dormant - I'm terrible with most things plant-related!

It's very frustrating...mines been like this for over a year now 😕 pretty pants to be honest

I've wrapped it in some wet filter floss and stuck it in the fridge 😎 I wonder how long it should be left there? A month...2 months?....3 months? 🤷‍♀️
