Hi all,
just got 6 tiger barbs (3 green tiger barbs & 3 original)

will they be ok with the fish in my sig (240L)

*thanks* :good:

Why on earth did you get more fish? ???? Your tank is still over stocked...

Surely after all the advice this week you not only know this but have realised the importance of researching fish BEFORE getting them.

wow thats funny

i also have three geen tigers and three original

from what i have learned and read and was told lol and observed...

tiger barbs do better in larger groups of their same kind

there are some other fish that they might not get along with too well in a tank, however every fish has a different personality

the more barbs the better, to an extent, you dont want to over crowd the tank with them

i love tiger barbs, and they should have plenty of room to swim around, your tank will def. be large enough lol.

as for the other fish...

well the cory's and loaches should all be fine with the barbs, and vise-versa

not sure about eels lol never had any dont know anyone who does

how big are the tigers now?

what tank do you have them in? what do you feed them, and are they agressvie towards themselves?

the man at the shop wouldnt take money for the fish only if i traded for fish

So now you are not only still over stocked but have introduced un-quarrentined fish?

Ok, lots of water changes - at least 10% a day and light feeding for a couple of weeks. Keep a close eye on the barbs for no only nipping but any signs of illness.

I think you still need to sort out the rest of your stocking and pretty quickly but for now concentrate on keeping this tank super clean and hope the barbs are healthy.
