Tiger Barbs With A Dwarf Cichlid?

Hi all, first time I've posted in this section I think

As you can see from my siggy I've got 8 juvenile Kribs waiting to go to the lfs in my two foot tank at the moment. Once these have gone I plan to put my now ageing Krib stud back into the two foot tank and was wondering what I would be able to keep with him.

So before I go do some more research myself I would be interested on your opinions of whether it would be fine to buy 8 tiger barbs and keep them with my male Krib (he's just over 4 inches) or whether there might be some stress/aggro problems?

Also I'm very conscious of over stocking and hope this would be ok although I think at the upper limit of what I could keep, would 8 barbs and 1 krib be too much for a 2 foot tank to handle though?

bleh, guess my research is beginning to answer my own question. It seems that keeping barbs in anything less than 30 gallons is bordering on cruelty and I dont want to keep anything that is gonna be stressed/unhappy.
