at my work, we just can't keep our tiger barbs alive, they grow fat and then just pass.

i have several theories but non proven.

they are in good quality water, no ammonia and low nitrates, we feed them flake food which i assume is the problem.

anyone know whats goin on with that?

Tiger barbs are reasonably easy to keep. How long have you kept your tiger barbs before they died? Is there any visible signs of illness? If not, and your water chemistry is correct, is your tank fairly new? What are in with the barbs? If your water chemistry is correct and your tank seems fine, then it just might be overfeeding....Are there bellies bloated before they die? If so, then it is overfeeding. Tigerbarbs are fast swimmers and can easily take the other fishes shares of food...Try feeding less than you usually feed them and this may help. Additional information can be viewed in the fish index and more research will also help if there is any other problems. HOpe this helps.
