Tiger Barb-fat or pregnant?

I'm somewhat unsure about my tiger barb. Its dorsal fin is not brightly colored but the lower fins are. So i cant tell wheteher its a male or female. But if it is a female i think it might be pregnant. I just got it from Wal-mart so it had PLENTY of mates to choose from and it looks really bloated. I dont think its been overfeed but Im not positive. Is there anyway to be certain if its pregnant?

tiger barbs dont infact get pregnant

the females swell up with eggs and then scatter the eggs and the male fertalises them outside of the female they also enjoy the taste of their own eggs very much lol

The only way to be sure is if any of the eggs are seen or if they hatch. I have thought the Tiger barbs my sister has were "with child(ren)" many times but it just turns out the females are often more round than the males in any case.
