My Tiger barb has a sore bottom it looks very red!
The hole looks enlarged and the other barbs are chasing her bottom around the tank. Is this serious? please help!!

Could be internal parasites, is there a red worm protruding out, I would get a medication for internal worms, add some salt to the tank if you have no scaless fish it will help with the sore bum.

Sorry forgot it would be best if you can issolate the fish or the other 's will catch it, but you might have to medicate the whole tank anyway.

There is no worm hanging there had a good look. I always keep an eye on their poo to keep an eye for whitish stuff but have not noticed anything on any of them. Can the barb still have parasites even with normal poo?

A red inflamed bottom can be a sign of internal parasites, if we have worms are bums are sore and itchy sorry for the expression, isolate the fish and add some salt to the tank for now, but I would buy an internal parasite med.

Is it a male or female do you no.

It is a female but just checked her and she is having a poo! She is also swimming on her head (best description I can give) waving her bottom in the air. I have two tanks but do not have spare to put her in is there a make shift alternative. I have more fish in the tank will they all have it!

Sorry forgot to add

8 tiger barbs
1 bumble bee gobie
1 brown discus
1 loach
3 mollies

75 litre tank

no3- 0
no2- 0
gh- 6
kh- 8
ph- 6.4

Probably in the tank she been in, if she is head standing that's not good at all, what colour was her poo, she's not pregnant is she, she might not make it if she head standing, get her out of the tank, if it is internal parasites the host will leave the body and infect the others.

Dont think that she is pregnant please let me know how I can tell or is it pretty obvious!?!? :/

I would take her out it sounds like internal worms seen threads on it where they have inflamed sore bottoms.

I have no alternative to place her can you give me an idea. I really really do not want lose any other fish especially my Discus :(

Whats your location.

It's hard to find a med in the UK for internal worms, add some salt to the tank if you have no scaless fish, and maybe do a salt bath on the affected fish, to help with the soreness.
