A little late and not all there: I promised pictures of the newly joining B. straita (zebras) and B. dario (Queens) dancing, but the straita decided to sit this one out.

I'll try again. I finaly have the cards cleared and the program reloaded, so maybe I can catch
some shots.

Please forgive the algae. I have some new plecs working on that! :)

There are 3 B.dario. But there are also 5 B.straita and a Clown unseen for eons, has just shown herself briefly.

The one in the middle is the largest of the three.

I know you already know this, but that clown will shown itself more if it had some buddies. I have learned that clowns are among the most social of the Botias. In the 1.5 years of keeping them, Ive yet to see one by itself in the tank.

if i remember right, he did have freinds then disappeared, the others got moved leaving him there, he then reappeared when the other loaches were added. gorgeous loaches jollysue

Thankyou, lilfishie. Yes, you remember correctly. I am frankly inclined to leave him where he is until I can move all the clowns to a large tank of their own. The 5 other 6" wild caught clowns are presently in a Tanganyikan Rift tank with Moba frontosas, compressicepts and multi Synos. I am not at all happy with that set up and would like to give them their own home as well as to move the Synos.

Actually it seems like I remember reading that too now

My point of the post was to say something about how social the clowns are. They just seem a lot more social to me then any of my other loaches, besides the dojos :good:

Could be. It seems that they are much more attached to their buddies. They hardly separate, but travel in twos, etc. My Queens are very attached though. They are together most of the time in the playgrounds. I snapped a couple of pics of them after lights out that I hope turn out. It was a big mix of Plec, loaches, Cories and ADF all playing in the playground together. Although I don't know if Plecs play. They always seem serious to me. lol

I do believe the clown is lodging with the rest of the loaches in the loach cave.
