Got some moss in the mail this morning & it's riddled with wee red worms!! At a guesstimate they could be bloodworms/midge larvae, in which case I'm sure my fish won't mind.. but I don't want to risk infecting 'em with parasites or somesuch!! What should i do?

They are bloodworm, so it's fine to put then in with your fish. Most will probably come out if you rinse before putting it in your tank.

cheers,
Ben :good:

Yes, indeed bloodworms, your fish will you love you for it...but sugegstion if they are breeding in the moss leave some in it...free food for long time

Bloodworm's wont breed in moss, they're larvae, flies lay their eggs in the water which hatch into bloodworm's.
