This Might Intrest Some Of You.

I'm not an expert, but I would say that's actually an L260 and not a L333. To the best of my knowledge, the L333 does not have dots between the lines. And the one in the eBay photo does. Also, the older (larger) L333 (to my knowledge) are much more of a dark brown with a "dirty" (dark) white body. Such as this one here.

Also, I think it's very naughty to (ab)use the word "zebra plec" - because though they are from the same Hypancistrus group, there is only one (commonly known) zebra plec (and that's the L046).

Ps: and for what it's worth, they sell young adult L260's at my LFS for £22 and L333 for around £25.

It's way too big to be an L260. L260s get to about 3-4", the ad says this one is 6-7" ;)

TBH there's tonnes of hypancistrus that look like L333s, L66 are supposed to be identical - even breeders finding it very hard to tell them apart. Apparently the only sure way to tell an L66 and L333 apart is to know where they were picked up from.

So yes, it does look like an L66, but in looking like an L66, it must look like an L333 too lol ;)

lol, plecs are so confusing :S

Actually, it can't be an L260 - I didn't see the size on the listing, but at 7"+ I have to wonder what a monster fish this is?!

Though at that said size, it certainly doesn't look anything even remotely close to this L066 male here.

Anyway, lovely fish I'm sure and a whopper at 7"+

I agree, definately not a Queeniefrom the size and colouor and thickness of stripes. Probably an L66 or L333 that is under a bright light for the picture.

Gotta love the way people are call fish Jari this, and Xingo that and don't forget Tejo. lol Just add a brazilian river name and wow you have an extra special limited edition version of your fish

Must be worth more with the river name assigned to it.

But it does look like this pic of an L66

And like Kathy's (soon to be mine) L333 (scroll down - not the gold nugget lol), which is in real life not as yellow/gold as in the pics - much whiter

And I doubt the pic posted in the Ebay ad is one of the actual fish anyway lol.

Also, in the ad it says he's 6-7" plus in total length, which means including tail - which makes him average sized for an L66 or L333.

It's the right size, right colour, reasonable description - I dont see anything misleading about it at all?

*passes Bloo a coffee*

I'm not a morning person either lol ;)

Oooh you know, reading that back it sounded really smarmy (my message) - glad you didn't take it the wrong way, sorry about that. One wasn't enough for me either, needed a couple more to catch up - too many late nights recently lol.
