So, Woody's gone and got me thinking now  If I was to get a teeny baby regal tang for my 90g, how long realistically would I have before an upgrade was needed?

Oh i see! Blame me then!

From what I've heard they grow pretty quick if well fed. Don't know how true this is tho.

You could get a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny one but be prepared to find it a new home eventually or upgrade! Or just give it to weez so she can put it in her 6ft ocean!

Nah, they dont grow really quick - mine was the size of a 20p when I got him he is now about three inches and that has taken near on two years (I think!)

Whoa, it probably really is do-able then!!! If I've not got a bigger tank within 2 years then its coz I'm dead  And yeah.. weezas not that far, if I REALLY get stuck!!

Im happy to be the rescue tank ;)

I honestly think if you are going to upgrade tho it will be fine! You have a year as my regal will be the last addition to my tank! :D haha

Yes I think I will go for it!! As Wezza said.. it will be the last addition anyway, so by that time I'll be even closer to an upgrade! All I need to do before an upgrade is possible is buy a twin pram, a people carrier and move house.. and that kinda needs to all be done before or VERY soon after this baby is born!! Then I can start upgrade planning!

Although HD, I don't know how it would work, but if you are upgrading does that mean you will then be adding more fish? I was told tangs are last because they get territorial. Now I know it will be a new tank but would there be problems? Im more asking for someone who knows their stuff to just confirm to you it will be ok lol

But at what size are they a problem Seffie? If its a year from when she got him when she upgrades will he be too big and be a problem? Or does that mean I could actually add my regal sooner if I get a baby one? :D haha
