i think im gettin bored of my africans.....they just sit around and are boring but i like them too hahahaha

I think both set-ups have something to offer, and it all comes down to personal preference and opinion. I can't say I've ever had a boring African tank where the fish just sat around. What kind of fish do you have?

Why don't you just get another tank and do both?
I have both and I love all of them. Both the New world and Old.

Just a thought!

I agree with missyintx 99. Sounds like it is timefor another tank!
If that is just not an option than go SA. trying something new is the best way to learn about different species and can also be challenging, and that is what keeps people interested in the hobby. When it stops being interesting water changes don't seem to happen as often as they should, at least that has been my experience.
Besides, you can always switch back to africans if it doesn't work out. (but it always does, this is why people end up with so many tanks!)

I agree, it's personal preference. I like having the more personality fish like the CA's but I can see why people would want Africans as they are active and beautiful.

What I do is try the best of both Worlds... I keep Mbunas in the same tank as my CA and if you look in my sig, I also keep one in my tank of piranhas. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else unless they know the fish they're getting inside and out.
