im thinking of setting up a salt water tank, but i know nothing about it! it wouldnt be until the end of the year/beginning of next year, but i basically want to know where i can read up about it please? Also my tanks only about 35 gallons, and i reaaalllly want sea horses but ive heard they arnt very hardy fish and for your first salt water you should get damsels and stuff, and is 35 gal big enough? i really dont have a clue and im just wondering where i can learn about it? please help :)
when i bought the tank i have they said the filter and lights are for salt too so im not worried about that i just dont know anything else lol heeellp

if 35 gallons is too small, i have an unreal filter from years ago when i had a massive tank so its possible to get a new tank and light and everything else, just need advice on it all!

I've recently jumped in to saltwater.... so glad i did, it's not as hard as you'd think as long as you read up. Seeing as you have plenty of time to do this you shouldn't have any problems :)

Firstly, check out some of the pinned topics on here, and view peoples journals. Doing this helped me ALOT.

I'm not too sure sea horses are a good idea for beginners (i could be wrong)

35gallons is fine, but it all depends on what you want to keep in the way of fish and coral, if any coral at all.
Put some pics up of the lighting and filters so that everyone can get a good idea of what you have.

What ever you want to know about marine you will be able to find on here. Many knowledgeable people on here. :D

ive heard seahorses are notoriously hard to keep and require alot of attention and care from perfect water parameters to gentle flow and hand feeding etc etc... i think kelwoo is considered the authority on seahorses around here :p heres a link to a journal done by her have a read :)
