Thinking Of Planted 33 Us Gallon, 29 Uk Gallon

Hi,

I really want to buy a Juwel Rio 125, 33 US Gallon, 29 UK Gallon. 32"L x 20"H x 14"W
I am wondering if it were to be fully planted (similar to George Farmers - very nice tank btw. ^^) would the filter system be okay in handling 5 or 6 Labidochromis caeruleus (Electric yellow labido) or similar fishes. With water changes of 30% every 7 days in mind.

Yellow Labs dont come from areas that are planted as such. More rocky environments. Plus i dont think plants would last long with the Labs as they'd eat them. Also, the injected CO2 would lower the pH and that would be bad because Labs like a high pH.
Might want to think of something else you like.

I am with him on this one.. if they don't eat your plants they will tear them up from the substrate anyways. I would suggest looking into another type of fish. If your looking for something along the lines of a cichlid then maybe some rams would do, they are fine with plants.
