how many can i put in there?? i was thinking neon's because of the color of them.....

i want to make sure that i have some that are very playful and are active.....i was going to try and setup a miniature tank of one that i saw on here (whoever has that 120 gallon....)...

:)

Black or blue phantoms, black widows, cardinals, bleeding hearts, and rummy noses are all gorgeous, and would work great in a tank that size. You could even get a small school of each and watch them shoal together! That must be an amazing sight.

I'd go with 5 cardinals, 5 rummy noses, 4 black/blue phantoms, 4 black widows, and 4 bleeding hearts. You should also get 3-4 cories to clean up the substrate.

I'd go with 6 each of cardinal, lemon, black phantom and rummynose. just my personal choice though, you get what you want. of course it depends on the filtration and surface area of your tank as to how many you can fit in. -_-

Very cool...the one I'm cycling now is a 26 gal, so similar in size and I'm planning on having several tetras myself. Neons, black phantoms, bleeding hearts, and probably serpae. Trying to make sure anything else I plan to get will get along with them - possible candidates of a couple of gouramis, blue rams, cherry barbs, and long-fin zebra danios.

it's the same size as a 20 long.....just taller....it's an older 30 gallon.

i have an aquaclear 500 on there right now (it filters 500gph....) and i have tahitian moon sand as the substrate...

it's currently housing 7 shell dwelling cichlids, that are still small....they will be moving to my 75 gallon tank as soon as i get enough money to buy 100 lbs of tahitian moon...

will they all breed??

:)

you mean will the tetras breed? if so...tetras are traditionally very tricky to breed not least cos their eggs wont hatch if exposed to light  but if you;re willing to put in some time and effort you might stand a chance with the phantoms.
