Well I've done a bit of reading, but wanted to check what you guys think.

I have a 12" * 8" * 8" tank (2.5 UK gallon) with a betta in, I used to have an apple snail in with him, but he's got a bit big and messy to be in a small tankso he got evicted and I'd like other company in there. I read a few posts, some saying ADF's are compatible with betta's and also that 2 are fine in a 2.5 gallon, so I'm thinking off getting a couple to throw in there.

What do you think?

Hi Arfie :)

ADFs are cool!

Two of them should be fine with your betta as long as the tank has a tight fitting lid. The little frogs are great jumpers and can escape through surprisingly small spaces.

BTW, any luck with your cory fry?

Hi Inch,

The lid is tight fitting, so I'm not worried about that, though they could get out when I open to feed or clean

Nah, both females have now spawned twice each. I tried removing them quickly, waiting for 8 hours to move them and neither worked, so I bought a breeding net to keep them in the main tank so there was no temp or water condition changes and plent of flow, pointed a fluval 2+ at the net and added an airston inside, but no luck yet. My last lot were laid on Sunday, so maybe I'll have some hatch later this week, but I'm not hopeful.

I'll leave the next lot of eggs, my gibbicep loves them :grr:

When I am ready to set up a breeding tank I will do, the quarantine tank is now in use so I can't use that, but I would like to try and get a few to hatch. I'm expecting more eggs this weekend as the bronze is looking large again

Thanks for your help :*
