im thinking about fancies in a tank. it will be in a conservatory (speeling). will have heater set for when its colder in winter. could you please give me advice on which ones are best to keep. i know its what you like, but i also know that some can have swimbladder dissorder things. whats the best foods for them?
i'd be very wary of keeping a tank in the conservatory if it has a glass or plastic roof, a mate of mine had his malawi tank in his and they got boiled to death last summer.
The choice is yours but if i was having a goldy tank i'd go for lion head, black moor and pearlscales. The ones with the huge bellys and bulgy eyes tend to have the most problems. Swim bladder problems can be prevented by feeding foods which sink to prevent the fish from gulping air, and also by feeding cooked peas squeezed out of the shell.
