i am thinking of getting some kuhli loaches but i was wondering if they would be alright with my bristlenose pleco. she is about 5cm and gets a little aggressive when there is food in the tank. would this be a problem for kuhlis?
also how many kuhlis should i get when i get round to getting some?

I have just inherited two khullies and a pleco (still to confirm id)
they are fine together and I have observed no conflicts at feeding time.
HTH :)

I would get no less than 5 of them and they should be fine with the Pleco though I'll warn you now, you'll probably rarely ever see them out, especially during the day time. Mine are still hiding after two weeks and I only occasionally see one or two of them out.

I would say the loaches will be fine with the plec. They are not schooling fish as such, but are sociable. You stand more chance of seeing them if you have a group. At least 3, ideally more.

Not sure about Kuhlis and Plecs, though I wouldn't guess there would be any problems. I have two Kuhlis (all the store had when I got 'em, and haven't had money to get more yet). I really didn't expect I would see them much, but I see them pretty much whenever I look in the tank  I don't know why that is, but I do. Most anyone else I've "talked" to about Kuhlis has said they rarely see them. Then again, the Kuhlis are in the tank with Neons who think they're bottom feeders, don't know they're supposed to be difficult to get to spawn, and aren't delicate at all, so maybe something in the water makes all my fish do unusual things :p

I love my Kuhlis  They're so cute! My husband can't stand 'em though...thinks they look too much like little snakes or worms. He does prefer the striped ones to the black ones though.
