Think My Amano Shrimp Has Eggs!

Hi all!

We just got back from the LFS with 7 amano shrimp and they are acclimatising now, and we just noticed that 1 looks like it is full of eggs! It's back kegs area are full of little grey bits, is this eggs?

These are our first shrimp and not sure what to do, will most of the egg be eaten if we just put the shrimp in the community tank or should we isolate her?

We want to save the eggs so can anyone help us please?

Tis tricky, mine were in a species tank, just 9 amano shrimp and 5/6 were full of eggs, never found any as it's too much work. Going through a plankatonic stage etc.

So... are you saying it's not worth trying to save the eggs? I don't know anything about raising shrimp!

It's hard and requires a lot of work, which is why most people dont bother. it requires using marine water, adding salt etc
