USA,
she just had babys yeterday and was looking good, but after sphyfening the tank today, and doing water change, she had scales on her tail that looked like they were standing up. her tail also is starting 2 turn white. what do i do. will this contaminate the rest of the fish, i cant get anything for treatment today or for a while, my dad wont take me 2 get anmything, and he wont let me take the car. what am i 2 do.

Hmm. Chances are it's dropsy. If you can't get your meds, your guppy won't fare too well. Why won't your dad take you? If he doesn't you could probably get a bus or a cab.

As for the white "stuff", where exactly is it? Is it at the base or on the semi-transperant part? Is the tail frayed or chewed away?

What tank is it in? What other fish are in the tank? Do you have a quarantine tank?

Sidenote: Please try to refrain from abbreviating and adding "2s" it makes it harder to understand the message and therefore harder to give help.

its on the semi transperent part, and no its not chewed up, its my 15, w/guppys and platties, i also put 2 molly in there today from my brothers because i thought they were pregnate and so it would be a live bearer tank, but i moved those back when i saw it, and i cant put it in another tank.... all filled up...

should i put it to sleep as i wont be able to get any med today, ppl. are coming over, and tommoro i ahve a funeral to go to. would the other fish get sick and die aswell?

no busses or cabs in this part of the us, or at least this area

Hmm.

So you can't quarantine the fish?

Euthanasia might be the only option, but it's not to be taken lightly. Euthanasia is a last resort and I wouldn't employ it if I could prevent it.

You said your brother had a tank. Tell me all the tanks you have and what's in them.

Does it look like this from above?

yeah, a bit on the tail, there all in my sig, my brothers is 15 aswell.
i think we were getting rid of some fish, giving some to my aunt, and getting some cichlids

I can tell you now that you chose a poor assortment of fish.

The sharks are too big for anything under a fifty, and that's until they get bigger. Tetras should be kept in shoals of 6+. Goldfish are coldwater fish and should be kept in tanks that are separate from the tropicals.

I'm sorry I couldn't have been more helpful, but I have no idea what you can do. :/

brothers fish, not MINE!!! and that has nothing 2 do w/the problem at hand! and i try 2 get him 2 get rid of them but he wont! thats not my fault. the lady at the store said that they will stay small because they are a mini varietie of the fish, well the cat fish ones, not the bala one. and there are coldwter corries, and this one is one of them.
