Thin Platy

OK....I think my emaciated platy has internal parasites (as suggested by Tolak in chat yesterday)....he said to use metronidazole...which I hunted all over for but couldn't find it. Apparently here in Australia you need to get it from a vet. SOOO....the LFS recommended another product. It is a parasiticide which is meant to be effective on internal parasites. I need to treat for 10 days to kill the parasites (and hopefully not the fish)....so I added the first dose today. FINS crossed.

The product is Sterazin made by Waterlife. Has anyone else used it? Did they have any luck with it?? There are no ingredients listed anywhere but it is green so I figured it must contain malachite green.

sterazin is fantabulous stuff.
I didn't realise you could get that in Australia.

From what I've read, pure garlic is meant to be great for parasites. Never tried it myself - not been able to find anywhere that sells pure liquid.
