thinking of adding 2 y tube things to the filter tube so that i can empty and fill the tank easier without bothering the fish.
what im thinking of doing is adding a y connector to the tube that sends the water back the the aquarium after being filtered which will have a cap on it and once the cap comes off, the water will come out into a bucket for me to take away and replace with nice fresh water.
then add another y connector to the tube going into the filter which again hasa cap and i take the cap off and stick the end into the new clean water which will be sucked back into the aquarium though giong through the filter once first.
the trouble im having is finding a y tube connector that is thick like the tubing used for the filter.
tried googling and ebay producing no results so turning to trusty fishforums in hope someone knows of a place.
so anyone know of anywhere doing what i want?
i may not use the first y tube to empty water out as atm i also suck any pieces of poo i can when taking water out and i would loose out on this if i did however sometimes would be nice for a quick water change.
