Fish Crazy
Jester and Paloma have been together in their five-gallon for about four days now. At first they kept their distance from each other, Jester (a beautiful turquoise+purple plakat) on one corner and Paloma (dark body, red fins) on the other. Then a couple of hours ago I noticed Paloma was under Jester's bubble nest, flirting with the guy. So I left them alone, thinking they might not do it if they see me walking around. Haha. Then I went back and they were at it. I think they did it for about an hour. Then Jester started chasing Paloma around, like he was going to kill her or something. So I took her out and put her in her own bowl. Right now Jester's guarding the eggs. He looks real tough. Hehe. So, there you go. Just thought I'd share my first spawning experience. I hope at least ten offspring survive. I'll post some photos of the parents soon. And photos of the fry when they become free-swimming. Thanks for reading!
