So i was in an LPS about a week ago when i saw a Crowntail amongst the VTs.
So i go to the LPS staff and ask them
"Can i have this one please?"
(LPS now)"You sure?, his fins are messed up"
I coudn't help but let out a little laugh
"Whats so funny?"
"Oh, i was just thinking of a joke...sorry" (best i could do ) )
"Oh okay"
"But since his fins are "messed up" do you think i can get him cheaper?"
"Umm, hold on let me ask my boss"
comes back a minute later
"Yeah sure, you can have him for 4 dollars"
Woo! Veils are usually 8 dollars and CTs are 12/14 dollars!
"Uh, yeah that will be fine"
So i walk out laughing abit, got a CT for a quater of the price!

That is hilarious!

I have to agree, LPS staff can be very,very dim and somtimes it is a vary sad thing for the animals there.
Such as my local Petco thinks that tanks, bowls, etc hardly ever need to be cleaned for betta and that they should be fed no more than 2-3 times a week and they think it is fine that they have one little airhole for fresh air. It's not just fish either, somtimes I think Petstores purposly hire people who know nothing about animals so they won't see the neglect.

Your lucky! I wish the people at my lps were that stupid (sometimes) because if I saw a plakat or crowntail betta and I could say since his fins are short or messed up cna I have him for a cheaper price.... man that would be great.
