this post started as a how much to convert my 55G fw to marine but ive read all the pinned topics now so im editing it.


ive read them all and havent seen anything about maintaining a marine tank?


how often do i have to do water changes etc?


and do i need my skimmer right away or can it wait a month or 2?

i wouldnt use it right away would i? but is 2 months to long.

oh and im jus starting with FO.

You could get away with it for 2 months, but depending on the fish you might need it sooner. Messy predators will be tough to keep without a skimmer...
