Then and now

When Wuv first asked me if I wanted her marble she sent me this pic

It was love at first sight . Who could say no to that???

When I got him(August 14th I think) he looked like this

I was blown away. He looked even better than the picture

This is what he looks like today

Isn't he beautiful??

His pectoral fins were clear when I got him. They have streaks of red now. I had a hard time picking that up in the pictures. Please excuse the dirty looking water in the last 2 photos, I gave my boys some black water extract with their last water change.

He has changed quite a bit. I can't decide which way I like him the best. I am hoping I can get a couple of his nephews(I think that is what they are) from your current spawn. I am curious to see how much more marbley they will be. I really hope he keeps his betta lipstick, I love those red lips .

I started to talk about them but I deleted because I didn't want to ramble in your thread ) But, since you mentioned them.... I think they're going to turn out really nice. I was comparing them to pictures of the marbles from the first spawn at the same age, here's one (could be yours!)...

..and it seems the F2 spawn is showing the same patterns, even moreso and better on the finnage. I just hope the bodies are less grizzly.
I haven't jarred anybody yet though. It's funny how larger spawns stay baby'ish longer...
