I have been very busy with tank maintanence and all that kind of great stuff, but I think it is time for this forum to know that I, TheDarkGoby, FINALLY got my saltwater setup after 3 months of searching craigslist. The wait paid off.
I will tell you what I got, then I will tell you how much I paid.
I got a 30g tank, Lots of LR (between 35-45lbs), power head, overflow box, overflow connections, stand (for the 30g tank), 10g sump (which fits into the stand), sump LR, shells, coral skeletons, sump pump, a 96W 36" fixture (I have been told this will support coral no prob) 1 female Blue Devil Damsel (Oh, great), and 1 male Humbug Damsel (My past favorite fish, but not what I would have chosen!), half a (big) can of marine pellet food, a bunch of Coral stuff I have no idea what it does, a hydrometer/thermometer combo, and half a bag of InstantOcean Marine Salt (which I just learned is expensive!), an unidentified shrimp (red with a black tail), and a handful (wait, make that 2) of small inverts such as starfish (mainly), LR growths (the invert kind), and I have found at least 1 bristleworm (which I have heard can sting you).
Jealous? No, y'all reading this are probably mostly reefers who have all their tanks together just right. I want to be a reefer in afew months. I still need a 96W bulb for the fixture, which is going to cost me about $47 +shipping. Anyway...
Now I will tell you how much I paid for it. $150. I know how to find the perfect deal and take it. Yay!
I don't have time right out all my plans (again), so if it is ok (and you guys tell me if it is), I can send you a link to my main threads I have started on other forums. If I do post links to other forums, you will probably have to be a member to access the pics, so I will post pics on this forum later. I don't really know if it is Ok to post links to threads on other forums, so I am not going to post links now.
That is the update! Feel free to make any kind of comments or suggestions! (5 days having a marine tank does NOT make me an expert lol)
Thanks!
