The Wet Spot just added something I HATE!

Depends on where you live and species of fishes. But I know quite a few people who make thousands off of rams and various species of apistogramma. Btw kribs breed like rabbits which is why they generally don't sell for much. However (and much to my amazements) bn pleco also breed like rabbits but still get a decent return (more specfiically some of the colour morphs like lemon blue-eye, super red, starlight as well as agreen dragon). I don't sell fishes but i can't keep my lemon's from breeding. My nannacara helps keep them mostly under control but the others i just give away.

There are also cories which are relative easy to breed but have a high return like sterbai, orange laser, eques (listed in increasing value). Still if someone is going to breed fishes they should be responsible enough to mix up the genetics over time. In breeding is a real problem.
I agree with BN and Sterbai cories, they are neat and you can't keep up with their spawns at times.. Even dark gold albino BN will sell well, plus any long tail variations.

True... I wish I could do whatever I want 😅
It would be nice to have money, but I think at my age I would be foolish with it and spend it all. If I could just have a ton of money, I would get it set up to where I don’t get it until I turn 21.

Sure hate to let the wind out of your sails guys but there is no money in selling your homegrown plants and fish. The best I ever did was $35 bucks store credit off a batch of Kribensis fry.
I’ve made around $100 selling plants and cherry shrimp to my LFS, but that’s not where my main income comes from. I also have a job at a packaging facility.

Another side hustle of mine is reselling sneakers.

It's not just at your age that people waste money. It happens at any age. Some people are good at holding onto money, others let it slip through their fingers. My dad is brilliant at maths but was terrible when it came to finances and has virtually no money or assets. Two of my sisters can't handle money either. My mum, two other sisters and myself are all good with money. I don't have a job and live on the pension, which is about 60% less than the poverty line but I can pay my bills when they turn up. Most other people on the pension struggle and with good reason. They get about $20,000 per yr on the pension. The poverty line is about $50,000. The average worker gets about $80,000.

Is it possible to spend 3 billion dollars in your life time? That should be a challenge 😂

Elon Musk is planning on spending 44 billion dollars to acquire twitter. And if the buyout goes through, he'll still have many billions left.

I mean for an average every day citizen. Like give ordinary Joe 3 billion and see what happens

I thought he already bought it??

I believe it has to be voted on by shareholders. Probably a few months before it will be finalized.

That does make sense... I could have sworn I saw something about him actually buying it though... I also don't know what source it was and I could have mis read it...

Kribs have been my only fish success so far. Oh, along with black Mollies. I didn't get much for the Kribs but the problem with them is that the number of fry is enormous and to keep them until they reach saleable size is costly by itself.
My favourite for breeding and resale are shrimp. Choose one or more. Put them in separate small tanks and just let them get on with it.
However, selling them to a LFS isn't easy. Store credit doesn't put pennies in your pocket and online selling inevitably becomes hard too. You have to be able to afford the polystyrene containers and buy the heating packs to put in them. Then there's the cost of the postage, and the DOA guarantee you'll need to offer.
Local sales are fine but unless you live in, or near, a large metropolis you may not have much opportunity there either.

I would build a town for poor people. It would be nice, clean and environmentally friendly. The properties would have room to move around in, insulation, solar power, and be cheap so the poor people could have a nice affordable place to live instead of being stuck in whatever tiny dump they can afford.

There would be parks and community gardens for growing fruit and vegetables, and lots of trees. Bike paths and a few electric vehicles that can be shared by the people in the street. The vehicles would be after covid.

People would get to know each other and everyone would look out for their neighbourhood and the other people living there. It would be like living in the 60s & 70s but with modern technology, where everyone knew their neighbours and crime was pretty much unheard of.

He secured a deal, but it hasn’t gone through yet. It will take at least a couple more months for him to actually own Twitter.
