i recently bought a white spotted grouper... in the tank were an assortment of fish such as naso tang, purple candy anemone, tube anemone, tiny tiny flower anemone, a sebae clown (juvy) and a maroon clown (big adult) plus a fire fish. now the grouper decided it wanted to have a nice little feast that night he was assimilated into the tank... a domino damsel and (i believe) the tube anemone. later this week it ate my fire fish and severely injured my tang. so who wants to have some grouper tomorrow night  so far the death count is up to 75$ in this little tiny 3-4 inch fish...

just thought i'd let everyone know

A few things:

1. I love that movie, that's in your sig *ring ring ring ring ring ring, banana phone!*

2. This belongs in the Marine section I believe

3. Crazy story! It's interesting to hear about stuff like that. Thats the thing about marine fish. Little fish doesnt mean no danger!

Interesting post, and welcome to TFF.

DB :fish:

Wow...I would be so mad if one of my fish sucked up 75$ worth of fish. It is like why don't you just toss a couple of 20 dollar bills in your tank instead of fish flakes? Sorry to hear about your loss. Do you plan on keeping the grouper?

How big is this tank? That Tang and Grouper both need a 125+ tank.

Grouper needs a big tank for sure, This is just a lesson in how you need to check your fish for compatability before you buy them. The damsel will soon be an unholy terror and the tube annenomy being an atlantic anenomy will eat clown fish rather than host them, and the maroon will harras the sebae because it is another clown. The tiny tiny flower anemony is it perhaps an apistia? if it is they will soon cover the tank and sting all of the corals and anemonies.
