I got a free 55gal and stand this afternoon. Thought I'd show it, and I need some help with the filter )

Never can beat those deals. As far as the Filter goes..Im with you on it..no clue whatsoever. Ill be keeping an eye on this thread so that maybe someone can enlighten me too 8)

I tried doing a websearch for fluval filters and came up with an instruction manual, but it didn't look anything like the pic you show. Try www.hagen.com and maybe you can find it...

Thanks, yeah, I did a search too, and it doesn't look like that. This one could be really old though...

I just mentioned I'm into fish and she asked if I wanted a tank that was about "this big" I had recently found a stand for a 55 at a flea market for $25, but this one came with one anyway. Looks like I'll have to go buy a 55, can't waste a good stand.

Bunji-I have no problem buying a new filter, but if someone can explain to me how to set this one up, I might as well see if it works.

so youll have 2 55 gallon tanks with stands?
