Meet my new (and first ever) blood parrot, TIGGER!!! He was only $8.00 I guess cause his colors aren't "proper" or something, but I love him!!! I think hes absolutly gorgeous!!

How big is he? if hes only about 3-5" then his colours havent come out yet as hes still a baby. as you can see his colours look to be coming from underneeth now so not long before he is orange! about 5 months id say...

p.s beautiful Parrot i cant have parrots as they dont live with my discus... maybe one day

You are right the fish is very striking, mine was all solid orange when I got him a year ago and did not have the dark markings on the side. This one is my first and I don't know if these markings fade as the fish matures. What I like best about mine is the purposefull way it moves about the tank. Good luck with your new one!

Like others have said, your BP has not faded yet but it looks like its starting.It usually happens round the head area first and before you know it he will be a nice yellow or orange.

Yeah right now he's only about 3.5 - 4 inches, so his colors are going to change? Awsome! I can't wait to see how he turns out!!

Yup they can fade even smaller give good water/food but in the lfs they dont tend to be in the best condition.I have had one fade at about 2".

hes said it all lol..

but "Tetra Prima" brings out colours in fish.. so feed him that and hell probably be orange in no time im sure it will be fun to watch
