I can see mine is going to be a digital camera so I can get pics of them online. But surely somebody else has had to shell out more dough due to their finny friends? Just curious. C'mon, fess up! ;)

My 200g tank set up. Damn fish wouldnt stop growing so i had to shell out nearly £600 to keep them happy

i got a great deal on my new 135 gallon but OMG all the filters and heaters and stuff is adding up fast. not to mention it is harder to find equipment for tanks that big. I will be sitting here at my desk searching online but so far without any substrate or plants or decor i am already past what i spent on the tank and stand. i think i might spend 750 bucks before i put the first fish in there. I'm finishing my wish list for the tank now and im scared to even think what the fish will cost. But what are ya gonna do.

My thirty gallon. Though technically I didn't spen the money outright, it was a gift from my mom. (and it was originally for my tree frog.... :D )

so far
£160 for my rio brand new :D (but no cabinet) :(

$1300 500g bare tank, now i have to pay for the filters/heaters/gravel/rocks/bogwood/lights/ boy its going to be fun!

How about medications? My fish have decided they want me to have to conquer (or try to) every fish disease known to man. Meds aren't cheap, and I have a had to get a lot of them... Basically, I'm a fish pharmacy. :S

Basically, I started off in may with 600 dollars. And today, In June.. I am broke. ALL of it went to fish, except for some that went to guitar parts.

ROFL laughing @ Julie.

Mine would have to be plants. I spend a fortune on live plants and all the necessary plants things.

Uh, my digicam, 430 dollars. And the large tank (132 american gallons/ 110 english gallons.. Why do you guys need to have different gallons too? It's confusing ;) with gadgets ~1000 dollars or a bit more.

"Aquarium is a really cheap hobby", yeah right...

$100 on a 30 gallon with filer, heater, lighting, lid, etc. The whole works. Altogether, probably well over $500 on the fish and accessories.
