I can never remember who said what or to whom but in summary, the following things have been discussed while you were away:

1. The old "New Tank Scenario" (newbie buys tank, filter, lights, gravel, plants and 50 fish, including an alligator gar and an oscar, for 20 gal tank and they all start dying - at which point they go on the Net to find help and end up on our doorstep). We're having more unfortunate newbies than ever and it gets very disheartening. On the plus side, it gives you a warm glow when their tanks start cycling and they begin to really enjoy their new hobby.

2. Why Wallymart are evil (allegedly); PetsStupid, if you're in UK. Relates to #1.

3. What species goes with what. Relates to #1 and often #2 as well.

4. The adult size of Common Plecos and Bala Sharks. Relates to #1 and #3, and also often #2.

5. Mysterious Livebearer Deaths - principally among British posters, which perhaps suggests it is something to do with the heatwave.

6. Is carbon a victim of its own PR?

7. Are CAEs really aquatic terrorists or just misunderstood?

8. How many times can I post per day before RSI and eye-strain get me?
