I just harvested a lovely batch of white mosquito larvae and true bloodworms from our birdbath today...

Everyone was very happy about it

Especially this little guy. He's the runt of my imbellis, the other two are about as big as the splendens juvies. Check out my awesome fish fossil in the background :hey:

Makes me miss Miami, except when your free food grows up and bites you! :p

That's adorable! I love how your sterilite boxes are stacked up way high. I can't imagine how much work it is on water change day.

Now do you change water in a couple tanks or containers everyday. Or have one water change day a week with hours of work?

I have one water change day for each tank group :p. Main tanks on Wednesday, adult betta tanks on Thursday, juvie jars every other day or every couple of days, depending on if I get around to it, water changes in the growout tanks daily. It actually only takes about an hour to do the jars in my room (22 total), an hour to do the adult tanks (15), 30 minutes to do the main tanks (7), and 45 minutes to do the juvie jars + growouts in the storage room of the garage. There are 18 of those, and it's quicker because I don't have to carry them to the sink and such.... just run my python into the storage room and fill up a bucket to fill their jars with

Awww you're so lucky to have mosquito larvae. Here in California the risk of West Nile runs pretty high so I can't collect any larvae :/
