Among the species identified through eDNA was the dwarf loach, an endangered freshwater fish. This tiny fish is incredibly rare, and finding it in Virachey National Park suggests the area's rivers are still fairly healthy.

We had 2 sids we loved just before they were red listed. We moved & thought we could find them again. We thought the new lfs were joking about "endangered". It was 20+ years before we got them again. Another move & haven't kept them again (yet).
