The Cat Got My Crowntail :(

He was in a two gallon hex tank with a plexiglass lid. It had a little hole in the top maybe an inch wide to drop food in. I have no idea how she got him out or if he jumped I just found him, or what was left of him. BAD CAT!!!

I know I thought he'd be safe with the lid and everything. I have no idea how she got him out. Poor little guy.

Maybe the cat pawed at the hole? Was it a pretty light lid?

I'm going to side with the cat. The fish jumped out and entered the cats realm. You can't go expecting the cat to kindly put the fish back in the tank can you? Calling the cat bad is unfair.

It's a cats instinct to kill a fish, your cat probably got her claw in the hole and lifted it up. My cat can open my window by getting her claw in the keyhole. Sorry for your loss and your tank was too small for a betta anyway.
