The Best Algea Eating Shrimp?

i was wondering what the best type of algea eating shrimp there is as i was wondering on getting some.

For what type of algae? IMO amano shrimp are best though.

Of course, you should never expect any algae eating animal to solve algae issues, though they can speed up algae removal once conditions are right .

the algea is a dark green to brown. i was thinking amano shrimp but i dont show were to get them from.

Amano shrimp are common at most lfs, if they don't have any, ask them to see if thy are getting any in soon, or if they will order some in for you.

There's places on the net to get them too, but postage is expensive.

the algea is flat and is mainly on the leaves of my anubias betari and on my glass

just thought, would cherry shrimps be ok for algea eating?

They are OK, but not as good as amano shrimp.

As I said though, if you have algae problems now, adding live stock to fix that wont fix it completely, if they really like eating that algae, another species of algae will just grow in it's place once they have eaten it all.
