hey... so i have about 60 fish, frogs, crabs, shrimp, etc. in three tanks, but i don't know too much about them. one of my guppies just gave birth to about 10 little dudes in her own tank. i'm about to remove her from the "birth tank". so, i was just wondering what i should feed these little dudes... i have about four other pregnant guppies. i guess they are going to have to give birth in general population. i saw a tiny little shrimp snap up a baby and eat it, so now the babies are in complete isolation. i really didn't think that the shrimp could eat one. i'm a film maker and i got some really nice footage of the births. if anyone wants to see it, i can post a link. thanks!

Yes i would like to see some of your film footage.

How do you know when she has finish giving birth?

Hi there! When i had fry, i would feed them crushed flakes and crushed tubifex worms, but live food seems to be more recommended(blood worms, wingless fruit flies).

hiya - the food has to be very fine for the first few days - I've used fish flakes crushed till they are dust, also used liquid livebearer fry food (but have to be a bit careful with it as it will foul the water if you put too much in). I do try and feed my fry about 3 - 4 times a day - especially for the first couple of weeks - I also do small frequent w/changes.
