For those who have no clue what "The Ashes" are use this link...

Well, I know who I voted for! I think this time the Aussies have home town advantage. Hopefully the weather will turn into the high 30's to 40's aswell (Perfect for drinking :p). Im hoping Glenn McGrath and Warney will be playing by then too. :D If a Game is played in Adelaide, I will stop at nothing to get a ticket! :shifty:

So, (like I dont know how this vote will end up, seen as though the majority of members from this board are in the UK), who do you think is going to take home or retain the Ashes in 2006/7?

I think the Aussie's... They hurt so bad after WE STUFFED THE CRAP OUT OF THEM! (Hopefully, I'll be living in Aus by then too... planning on moving there soon)!

ENGLAND... easilly win, but they'll loose the 1st match as they always do lol

Anymore additions, thought Id bring this back to the surface now that its SHOWTIME! :D

My heart says England.... :/

My head says I'm mad :S

Heart rules the head they say, so COME ON ENGLAND!

Despite the first day's score and the fact we chose not to play Monty...

I'd love to say England but I believe they'll just be too good on their bouncy wickets, especially after the start they've had. I just hoipe they don't white wash and we can win one test maybe. :/

I have come to the conclusion that until the Aussies stop cheating by using that Warne I will have little enthusiasm for cricket. Let's face it, without him the 2005 ashes would have been an absolute walkover for us.

The man is just too good. I don't see why the rest of the world should have to suffer while the Aussies have such an unfair advantage.

You wouldnt be saying that if he was playing for England! Stuart Clarke and (OO AH) Glen McGrath took the majority, with Warney getting no wickets in the second Innings. But, remeber last season, you guys got beat in the first test, and we came back to lose the Ashes.

Wheres your Dads Army taunts now though? GlanMcGrath and Warney still playing A Grade Cricket, more than can be said for Harmey Harmisson! Hahah, second slip on the first delivery! :shout:

Seriously, over here I haven't heard that mentioned at all up here, in the media or elsewhere.

Last time I heard "Dads Army" in relation to sport was your media talking about the English forwards in the Rugby World Cup in 2003, and we all know how cutting and effective that was... ;)

I'm feeling a little more optomistic now after the overnight play. A great double century by the ever dependable colly. I'm not gettinh ahead of myself though, I know it's a great batting pitch but if we get a couple of early wickets tonight then you never know. :)

Well that was a dismal second innings by the Poms. A lead of 168. They really let Australia back in the game, we were on the back foot there, with England making it a rough time for ourt Batters with some really good bowling. Now we really have a chance. Have you seen the betting odds, ouch!

bwhahaa....the bragging aussie in me is creeping out but I must place him back into my body...

SUCK ON...NO BACK BRAGGING DEMON BACK :)

Brett Lee tore it up today nice swing....and the injury excuse is bad since all the english are missing really is vaughn and Jones...and they still play Giles and No Monty or Mahmoud...Anderson isn't to good either
