I wanted to say a thanks where everyone would see it...
Your suggestion of putting a plate/plant pot base down for my panda cats so that they could get at the food, instead of it getting lost in the gravel, was bloody brilliant. I would never have thought of it in a gazillion years and the cats really like it.
