Just to say a big thank you to those of you that have helped me over the past 4 weeks. It has been the most frustrating, worrying and exciting time.

I found this site after losing a few fish a couple of days into the start of getting my tank - through lack of knowledge and an lfs that didnt give me any meaningful advice.

Last night my readings were at nil !!! The help and advice I have been given has got us here - so thanks again.

For anyone new reading this - these guys really do know their stuff - so ask away - make sure you follow the advice and learn to be patient lol lol - then you will get there.

Yay! Glad to hear your tank has stabilized. The establishment period can be very stressful, now you can sit back and enjoy your fish without the constant worry. Just keep up with the weekly water change. :D

Glad to hear your readings were zero! It's exciting when that happens, isn't it? I didn't know what to do with my extra time when that happened - no more daily water changes

You are sticking around, aren't you? I hope so!

:D I just want to join in the thank you band wagon! I have finally reached the end of what I hope is a succesful fishless cycle thanks to the advice and comments I have received in this great board. I have learnt lots about fishkeeping here and just wanted to say THANKS to all those who have taken the time to answer my many questions. This doesn't mean yov've gotten rid of me though! I think I'll also stick around for a while.

Multiple Tank Syndrome, most of us have it, it is incurable and often fatal (to the bank account) :)

I need to say thank you also. I have gotten tons of good information over just a few days.

And MTS does not take long..... ;)

My 30 gallon is already too small. :)

MTS - ah ha now I understand lol lol lol lol lol

It was only last night that my OH saw me standing in the living room sort of looking around into thin air. 'I know what you are up to' he said - 'you are wondering where your next tank will go' and he was dead right !!!!

so 4 weeks for me before I caught MTS - how about anyone else?

Congrats on the tank janedee. I got my second tank just after week 6 when my guppies had babies. I hated seeing them in the breeding tank so that was it had to have a second tank. :D

Keep hinting for a 3rd but partner is very stubborn :grr: :grr:
