Tetratec Ex1200 Pipes

Might be a bit of a daft or stupid question, but on my tetratec ex1200 the outlet pipe is a lot dirtier than the inlet pipe on the filter. Should I be worried that the filter is kicking out dirty water and is not working properly.

Anyone else have this issue, is this normal, although looking at the piping on my rena xp 2, the inlet pipe is dirtier one.
