Hi all

I'm currently after a new external filter, as my fluval 303 has given up the ghost I think. I have seen the tetra tec ex700 going for £69.99, which seems like a good deal, as they sell for a lot more online. Obviously I need to know if they are any good before I part with my hard earned cash!!

I have an EX600 and two EX1200's, and all are great. Easy to use, quiet and low-maintenance. Also, the prime button works with one press, a large novelty for current Fluval or previous Fluval 04/05 series owners. Mind you, the 03's didn't have priming handles did they?

Mind you, if you can find one, Rena's are OK also, just the main seal ring is tricky to access to maintain/replace

All the best

Cool :good:

That settles that then! I will pick one up tomorrow.

BTW it will be going in a 180l tank. I think they are rated for slightly better.

I have a pair of ex1200s and an ex700, and would definitely advise an ex1200 for a 180l tank (got one on my rio 180), the 700 is not powerful enough to deal with that volume imo. Manufacturers claims are always to be taken with a pinch of salt...
