Tetra Tank..

I purchased a tetra tank yesterday, 60L, and it came with the original Tetra pump which is MASSIVE!

so im wondering if I can get a smaller pump if so what would I search on ebay to find a decent one?

(Don't want to pay through the roof though)

is it the thing with the heater and filter?

if so its just a housing to hold the filter and heater in place

I presume you are referring to the aqua art silver top with a slight arch effect to it and flap front and back?

If so have found that filter to be pretty effective, also it should have the hester in there as well, so by the time you have taken the two out and mounted the heater and put a filter in you won;t gain that much space and the filter box does hang nicely on the back in 3 places.

They take media cartridges which I change every couple of months ( reccomended every month) they cost about £7 for 3. Alternatively you can add foam or other media if you wish.

Alternatives might be a Fluval 2 plus or the new U equivalent. or you could get a small external FLuval 105 or similar.
