Tetra Questions...

I was wondering what types of tetras get along with each other.

I had 3 red eyed tetras but one of them died (sad accident). I want to get a couple more but I was thinking about getting a different kind. If I were to get 3 diamond tetras would they get along with the 2 red eyed tetras I already have?

Would all 5 of them 'school' together?

If not, is there another option besides red eyed tetras that would work for me?

Schooling is a defensive behaviour. If fish do not feel threatened, they will not school. That is why schooling is rarely seen in small tanks. Most tetras are happier kept with several of their own species, but will often form loose associactions with other similaly sized and shaped species, (not necessarily tetras).
