Hi I'm just wondering if you guys can help I found a one of my tetras last night like this picture to follow, when I come home after work I found it dead. I'm just wondering if any one as experienced this or know what the issue could be thanks. None of my other fish seem to have any problems at the moment.

That fish was attacked! What other fish do you have in the tank? It looks like a bite mark near his anal fin

It certainly has a bite on the body and anal fin but whether that occurred while the fish was alive, or after it died, is something to be considered. I wouldn't consider that a life threatening bite. I wouldn't think a clown loach would attack a tetra unless it was a big loach that was really hungry. The black widow tetras might take a bite. I don't know what the orange tetras are.

Have you added anything to the tank in the last 2 weeks?

Yes, only reason I thought it was a clown was cause I know they can be big and aggressive... My 2nd thought was the black widows but I really wasn't sure

With there being only 3 black widows, they will be even more nippy than usual for this nippy species. It is usually recommended to keep at least 10 of species like black widows to hopefully keep the nippiness to within the shoal.

I remember a thread on another forum about Pristella Tetras with exact the same issue.
If I recall correctly we never managed to find the cause (not attacking other fish btw) but the entire stock ended up dead.

Sorry I can't be much more of a help, but the other fish are innocent to me.

Hi, I only have 5 lemon tetras, 5 orange tetras, 1 plec, 2 clown loach and 3 black widow
What are you calling an 'orange' tetra, please?

Most tetra need to be in shoals of at least 8, 6 at absolute minimum. Without this, they tend to get aggressive with each other and other tank mates and this manifests itself in them becoming 'nippy'.
(Remember, tetras share a bloodline with piranha).
