Theres a fish in my LFS that they labeled "white tetra".
It's kind of peach-colored, and shaped like a neon tetra.
Its not a white skirt tetra...
I think it has a stripe on it...

Does anyone know what fish this is??

simonbrown403, its the store's fish, and i didnt buy it, and i didnt take a picture of the fish in the store, either... :) (Im not planning on buying it, either, i was just curious...)
No, its not one of those, Wilder...

Only names with white in them are the white tetra, which wasn't it, there is a white star tetra, white spot tetra, white widow tetra,
WHITE SPOT TETRA (APHYOCHARAX PARAGUAYENSIS) IN STOCK
WHITE STAR TETRA (AXELRODIA STIGMATIAS) IN STOCK
WHITE WIDOW TETRA (GYMNOCORYMBUS TERNETZI) SOLD OUT

No, its not any of those, either.
I guess they just decided to label it as a white tetra since they thought it was white (which it isnt) and didnt know what to call it... :D
Oh well....

Rasboras, barbs and other cyprinids do not have an adipose fin, (small fleshy fin on the back between the dorsal fin and the tail). Does the fish you've seen have this fin?

Without more info it is going to be really hard. "White Tetra" could be any made up name as you've already sumised - shops do that.

No, its not the Bentos White Tip Tetra.
I didnt look if it had an adipose fin... :(
Its shaped like a neon tetra, not like a serpae tetra or a white tip tetra.

By the way, it's not any fish in the index.
