I went out of town for 4 days and finally had a chance to use my Tetra Holiday/Weekend sticks. They can supposedly feed fish for up to 30 days. I put 3 in a 29 gallon tank with about 15 fish. When I came home the sticks were pretty much all dissolved and there was no yucky residue and the water was clear. The more days you are gone the more sticks you put in. The fish all look well fed and active. I highly recommend them! :D

Glad it went well, I am going to Alton Towers on Sunday, so need something on Sat evening that wlil last until Monday morning.

What are the tings you used called?

Tetra Sticks a re good for prolonged absences, but if you're going to be away just for a day, I've heard it's actually good for your fish to do some fasting.

And this also applies to humans! Not that I do it, but...

i find tetra products pretty good.. guess they do some kind of research... that's why they're in the market for so long

sounds quite good, but i hope they don't just dissolve into bits and pollute the tank, then the filter does its job when you get home and its supposidly 'eaten and clean'. I'll have to give it a test my self. :)

Most fish can happily survive for weeks without food. The danger of a non aquarist over feeding are far higher than the risk of starvation if you are away for a week or two.
